This Year’s Summer Fete
30th March 2018Our annual Summer Fete will be taking place again this year on July 28th. We run this event not just to raise money but also awareness for the elderly and to encourage Community Involvement. If you are looking for a fun filled day out for the Family, then we hope to see you all there! If you would like to volunteer or run a stall at the Fete, please get in touch.

30th March 2018With the brilliant success of the Programme, we were put forward for an Award for Community Collaboration at the Solihull Together Awards 2018. Although we didn't win our category, we actually won the Chair's Choice from all of the finalists from every category. To say we are over the moon is an understatement! We have now started our new project with five new children and residents. Everyone is loving it so far and we have had amazing feedback from our Resident's Families.

7th July 2017Once again this year on the 25th June 2017 we joined our neighbours in opening our gardens for the annual "St Bernards in Bloom" event. Visitors were welcomed to look around and enjoy the sights for the day in aid of a good cause. This year we did better than ever with 650+ people attending and managed to raise over £6,300 for the Stroke Association.

5th July 2017Our Summer Fete will be taking place on 15th July 2017 and will include our regular supporters, a bouncy castle, Pat the clown, tombola, musicians and beat the goalie, along with burgers, tea and cakes to refuel. Please come along and support this fantastic event! We greatly welcome the help of our volunteers and supporters for big events. If anyone would like to help run a stall or sell some cakes, your help will be much appreciated.

5th October 2016St Bernards are in the preparation stage for the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes programme (GSFCH). This is recommended as an example of 'best practice' by many government and professional organisations including CQC. It aims to build on the good work already present in the home, to develop the very best quality of care for residents in their last years of life - aiming for a 'gold standard' of care. An initial introduction to this is available on Wednesday 19th October at 7pm. Drinks & buffet will be provided.

15th August 2016Our manager wowed us all on her wedding day recently when she walked down the aisle to long term partner Anthony. Charley wore a stunning diamond encrusted dress and was accompanied by bridesmaids wearing lemon. We wish her all the best in her new life as Mrs Simcox

20th July 2016St Bernards continued tradition and held our annual Summer Fete on 16th July raising a staggering £1,255 that will directly support our residents. We were blessed with sunshine for the afternoon. We would like to say a big thank you to all who supported us by coming to the fete and for donating gifts!!

29th June 2016We were delighted to take part in St Bernards in Bloom this year. This extremely popular event is growing in size year on year, and were thrilled to show around over 500 people. The event raised a staggering £3,800 for the Stroke Association. Thank you to everyone who came and supported this event!!
