Lounge and Dining
Our communal spaces on the ground floor are all accessible from the main reception lobby and together form a buzzing, social space to relax in. There are many and varied places to meet to suit individual preference.
This is an original conservatory that is home to the coffee bar and fresh orange juice machine
This is home to the main lounge and dining area and includes a stylish serving area and direct access to the glazed terrace. The piano is here and many of the activities are centred in this location.
A more intimate space connected to the main orangery
A beautiful original lounge that is a quiet area for meeting with family and friends
Situated in the lower ground floor lobby area our salon is a dedicated room for the hairdresser visits, chiropodist and treatments such as manicures.
A modern lounge and further dining area with TV. A small kitchenette is located here for the use of all visitors.
All these social spaces are well lit and have low windowsills providing open views of the beautiful well stocked gardens even from a seated position.
The rear gardens have raised flowerbeds, a sensory area, summerhouse and extensive inter-linking paths. There is also an extensive terraced area with covered seating offering a pleasant environment to relax in the summer months.
Internally attention has been taken to reduce the window heights to allow those seated or in bed to benefit from the views of the garden. The soft furnishings are bright and cheerful and have been chosen to create a homely atmosphere.
I have never regretted my selection of St Bernard's as the home for my mother and would recommend the home to any family seeking the best for an elderly family member
